Duties
- Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are diagnosed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards
- Conduct complex diagnostics using advanced tools and techniques to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Perform critical repairs including brake replacement, suspension work, welding, soldering, assembly, and heavy lifting tasks
- Manage inventory of hand tools, power tools, parts, and equipment to ensure readiness for all service needs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times
- Collaborate with management to recommend services and parts.
Skills
- Extensive experience with a strong background in heavy truck and equipment repair and maintenance
- Proven service technician experience with expertise in electronic diagnostics and repair procedures
- Mechanical knowledge spanning brake systems, suspension components, welding techniques, soldering skills, diesel engines, and vehicle assembly
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus effectively and safely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs
- Excellent customer communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing a team of mechanics or technicians
