We are adding an Electrical Controls Engineer to lead our continued growth with engineered-to-order control cabinets. This is a great opportunity for new college graduates or individuals with minimal experience!
What You'll Do
- Partner with Application Engineering to define control cabinet opportunities and costs.
- Review customer control system designs and lead design improvement discussions with customers.
- Assist the sales team by engaging the customer in technical discussions to support new opportunities.
- Create drawings and parts lists for customer orders.
- Use SolidWorks Electrical to generate drawings of the control cabinet, layout drawings, control cabinet. schematics, wire lists, terminal block layouts, and parts lists for customer orders.
- Work closely with key departments such as manufacturing and development engineering, confirming products meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Partner with Production to identify tooling needs and design a work cell for control cabinets.
- Choose materials and calculate/analyze costs.
What You'll Bring
- Electrical Engineering degree with an emphasis on Control Systems, or equivalent.
- Customer-oriented attitude with experience providing technical support to customers.
- AutoCAD Electrical proficiency with the ability to create a design package.
- Understanding of electrical schematic drawings.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Self-initiative and willingness to continuously learn.
- Passion for creating solutions that meet/exceed customer expectations.
