Private OR Group Teacher - Guitar

Looking for an instructor to fulfill an open spot for group piano lessons. Preferably one who is actively playing/gigging around the Pittsburgh area currently who has a passion for teaching!

*We are looking to hire someone to teach on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday OR Saturday morning/afternoon.

*Prefer someone who has 5 years of piano experience who is actively playing OR someone with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Music.

Looking for someone with a Guitar foundation who can read Written Music and is comfortable teaching Private Lessons and Group Guitar Sessions of a group up to 6 students at a time .Someone who can also play Ukulele or Electric Bass in addition to Guitar would be a bonus but not required. Preferably one who is actively playing/gigging around the Pittsburgh area currently who has a passion for teaching!

Requirements -
1. Hold a Bachelors Degree or Higher in Music OR has 5 years of Guitar experience
2. Advanced Guitar Technique with ability to break it down and teach to students (General Music Theory, Scales, Arpeggios, Chords, strum patterns, finger picking style ... etc)
3. Passionate about training up the next generation of Musicians
4. Reliable transportation to/from studio
5. Available to teach on a Wednesday, Thursday evening or Saturday afternoon (Current studio hours are M-Th 4-9pm and Saturdays from 10am-3pm) - All teachers start on ONE day and can extended to more days as their students increase. We currently have 2 instructors who can teach guitar and looking to expand to a 3rd teacher for this specific instrument.

6. Ability to teach in a 1:1 setting is a must - Group session in addition to 1:1 would be even better overall
7. Good sense of Humor (We like Punny Folks around Here)
8. Easy going personality who is also organized
9. Punctuality and Communication is a must!
10. Able to use an internet based software on phone/computer/tablet to enter in attendance and schedule for record purposes (Opus1.io)
11. Is comfortable teaching on both an Acoustic and Electric Guitar for in person at the studio (OR Online lessons via FaceTime, Google Or Zoom if requested by student due to sickness, inclement weather or prior arrangement)

*This is a W2 Part-Time Employee Position*

All candidates will need to obtain OR already have ALL PA teaching clearances prior to being hired and placed on the schedule to Instruct:

• Act 34 - PA Criminal History Report
• Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Criminal History Report (Fingerprinting)
