What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator, Laser position at Dynamic Metals LLC?
Weekend Days 6 am - 6 pm (Work 36 hours get paid for 40)
Days - M-TH - 6am - 4 pm
2nd Shift - M-TH - 4 pm - 2 am
Manufacturing metal products using machines that employ lasers and computerized equipment.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Locate work orders and process them in a timely fashion according to the production schedule.
- Capable of verifying initial product quality checks and complete all laser processing operations.
- Perform quality control checks on the processed materials and provide documentation.
- Understand the operating features of the laser processing equipment, roll handling equipment and inspection equipment.
- Communicate progress of project to the Production Manager and Pre-Production Coordinator.
- Deliver completed work order with documentation for quality validation.
- Able to process work orders without supervision or assistance.
- Able to perform job set-up duties.
Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety glasses with side shields as required
- Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required
- Gloves as required
- Earplugs as required
- Welding hood, jacket, face shield, and/or gloves as required
- Fire Retardant (FR) clothing as required
- N-95 mask or respirator as required
- Seat belts required on all forklifts
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- One year of laser experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Detail oriented
- Other duties as assigned
