Operator, ELU

CNC- ELU Operator - 2nd shift - Mon-Thurs 4pm - 2 am

Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operation but not limited to CNC mills 
• Interact with computer-based controllers (conversational & G&M Code) to enter job programs and tool selection information.
• Understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions before and while running operations.
• Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standards.
• Update related paperwork instructions upon completion of tasks.
• Demonstrate safe work habits.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• As a team member, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.
• Must maintain current overall and job specific training.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Educational Requirements: 

• High School Diploma
• Attention to detail.
• Controls and Instrumentation, functional and technical skills
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Ability to work with others.

Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses with side shields as required. 
• Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required. 
• Earplugs as required.
