What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator, ELU position at Dynamic Metals LLC?
CNC- ELU Operator - 2nd shift - Mon-Thurs 4pm - 2 am
Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operation but not limited to CNC mills
- Interact with computer-based controllers (conversational & G&M Code) to enter job programs and tool selection information.
- Understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions before and while running operations.
- Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standards.
- Update related paperwork instructions upon completion of tasks.
- Demonstrate safe work habits.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- As a team member, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.
- Must maintain current overall and job specific training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Attention to detail.
- Controls and Instrumentation, functional and technical skills
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to work with others.
Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety glasses with side shields as required.
- Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required.
- Earplugs as required.
