Business Administrator

Dynamic Metal Innovations, LLC
Brownsville, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 7/9/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/9/2026

We're a precision metal fabrication and machining company specializing in laser cutting, machining, and rapid prototyping, headquartered in Emmaus, PA, with a subsidiary, DMI-Texas, LLC, in Brownsville, TX. Now in our seventh year, our team of 45 across both locations is a premier vendor of tooling and components for advanced aerospace programs. If you're driven by precision work that contributes to the future of flight and exploration, you'll fit right in.

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Business Manager to serve as the administrative backbone of our Brownsville, TX facility. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be the person who keeps a growing manufacturing operation running cleanly day to day — covering purchasing, shipping and logistics, accounts receivable and payable, and human resources administration. This is a generalist role for someone who's comfortable wearing multiple hats, switching between vendor calls, payroll questions, and invoice reconciliation without missing a beat. If you're organized, dependable, and energized by being the go-to person who makes an office run smoothly, this is the role for you.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3 years of experience in an office administration, business operations, or accounting support role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable — invoice entry and coding, payment runs, customer invoicing, AR aging, and collections follow-up.
  • Experience processing purchase orders and managing vendor relationships, including pricing, lead times, and reconciling receipts against POs.
  • Familiarity with shipping and logistics coordination, including preparing bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
  • Experience with HR administration — onboarding, timekeeping, PTO tracking, personnel files, and benefits enrollment support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort learning accounting, payroll, or ERP software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple functional areas and shifting priorities at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interface directly with vendors, carriers, employees, and corporate teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in an aerospace, defense, or other tight-tolerance manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with export documentation and cross-border shipping, given our location on the US–Mexico border.
  • Experience with payroll or benefits platforms such as Paychex, and general ledger or accounting software.
  • Notary public certification.

What You'll Do

  • Manage HR and administration. Handle onboarding, timekeeping, and PTO records, and maintain accurate personnel files. Serve as the on-site benefits liaison, helping employees understand their options and complete enrollment paperwork while routing coverage determinations to corporate HR. Coordinate site open enrollment and confirm benefit deductions tie out correctly in payroll. Keep the office running — supplies, facility needs, and day-to-day administrative support.
  • Own purchasing and vendor management. Process purchase orders for materials, tooling, and supplies against GM-approved requisitions. Maintain vendor records, pricing, and lead-time data, and flag cost or delivery issues before they become problems. Reconcile receipts against POs and resolve discrepancies quickly.
  • Coordinate shipping and logistics. Manage inbound and outbound freight, prepare shipping documentation and BOLs, and maintain carrier relationships. Track on-time delivery performance and support customer delivery requirements, including export documentation as needed.
  • Keep AP/AR clean and current. Enter and code AP invoices and prepare payment runs for GM or corporate approval. Generate customer invoices, monitor AR aging, and follow up on collections. Reconcile site accounts and support month-end close in coordination with corporate accounting.
  • Support the Site Manager and the broader team. Act as a reliable second set of hands for the Site Manager across purchasing, HR, and finance-adjacent tasks. Bring a problem-solving mindset to the inevitable curveballs of a growing manufacturing site, and pitch in wherever the operation needs support.

What Success Looks Like

We don't expect you to know every system on day one. Here's how we picture this role coming together over your first year:

In your first 90 days

You'll get up to speed on our vendors, systems, and the purchasing, shipping, AP/AR, and HR workflows that keep the Brownsville site running. You'll learn our documentation standards and who to loop in for approvals. Early success is simple: POs are processed accurately, invoices are entered on time, and employees know they can come to you with HR and benefits questions.

By six months

You're running the day-to-day administrative operation with real independence. Your AP/AR is clean and current, vendor issues get flagged and resolved before they cause delays, and shipping documentation goes out without errors. The Site Manager trusts you to handle purchasing decisions within your authority and knows HR administration is in good hands.

By the end of your first year

You're a true operational partner to the Site Manager — someone who anticipates needs across purchasing, logistics, finance, and HR rather than just responding to them. You've identified and helped implement process improvements that make the site run more efficiently, and both corporate teams and on-site employees see you as the dependable hub that keeps Brownsville moving.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is based on your experience and demonstrated ability across purchasing, logistics, finance, and HR administration. Our benefits include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
