About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician with a solid background in sheet metal fabrication and machining to join our 2nd shift production team.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of our operation — you'll work directly with precision laser-cut components destined for aerospace and industrial customers. Experience in a sheet metal or machining job shop is required. If you know your way around a shop floor, can read a print, and take pride in quality workmanship, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Operate our Loewer automated deburring machine — a core responsibility; nearly all laser-cut parts run through this system
- Perform light manual machining operations, including tapping, countersinking, and related tasks
- Assist the laser operator with denesting and staging sheet metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify part accuracy
- Conduct dimensional inspection using calipers, pin gauges, and height stands
- Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) forms per quality standards
- Perform manual deburring on sheet metal components
- Operate a forklift for staging and moving raw material
- Handle packaging, shipping, and palletizing of finished parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Qualifications
- ✅ Sheet metal fabrication experience — preffered (job shop background strongly preferred)
- ✅ Machining experience — preffered (tapping, countersinking, manual machine operation)
- ✅ Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- ✅ Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, pin gauges, height stands)
- ✅ Experience with power tools including grinders and cutters
- ✅ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ✅ Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, reaching, pushing, pulling)
- ✅ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- ✅ Ability to work in a loud shop environment with appropriate PPE
- ✅ Reliable, adaptable, and safety-conscious
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation
- Background in aerospace or industrial fabrication
- Familiarity with automated deburring or finishing equipment

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
