The Carrier Solutions Representative is responsible for procuring and developing carrier relationships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sources, qualifies, and develops strategic carrier partners for current and future freight needs
- Builds and maintains accurate carrier profiles within company systems, ensuring data integrity and usability
- Applies data-driven insights and compliance requirements to evaluate, select, and maintain a high-performing carrier network
- Utilizes data, technology, and market insights to match carriers with optimal freight opportunities
- Develops long-term carrier relationships focused on performance, reliability, and mutual growth
- Identifies and connects carrier candidates for specific freight opportunities
- Collaborates cross-functionally with operations, pricing, sales, and customer teams to support customer success
- Supports strategic initiatives to strengthen and scale DLX’s carrier network
- Monitors carrier performance and market trends to proactively address capacity needs
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be focused, motivated, and organized
- Must be comfortable with communicating over the phone
- Flexible team player capable of multitasking
- Working knowledge of technology
- Must be open-minded and eager to learn/grow skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in the Transportation industry preferred
- Physical dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, and office equipment; ability to access file cabinets and items stored at various levels, including overhead
- Ability to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone, and in group settings
- Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
- Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate, reason, define problems, draw valid conclusions, and make sound decisions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able to lift up to 15lbs at times
