As the Health & Safety Partner in our Onalaska, WI facility, you'll advance workplace safety by partnering closely with manufacturing operations to proactively identify risks, strengthen safe behaviors, and drive continuous improvement.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor in the field, helping leaders and team members translate safety expectations into everyday actions. Your work will directly shape a culture where safety ownership is embedded at every level, through effective incident response, thoughtful root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions that prevent recurrence.

As the Health & Safety Partner in our Onalaska, WI facility, you'll advance workplace safety by partnering closely with manufacturing operations to proactively identify risks, strengthen safe behaviors, and drive continuous improvement.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor in the field, helping leaders and team members translate safety expectations into everyday actions. Your work will directly shape a culture where safety ownership is embedded at every level, through effective incident response, thoughtful root cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
💪 What You'll Do
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with frontline leaders and team members, providing real-time coaching and guidance on safe work practices.
- Conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and exposure evaluations to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, facilitating root cause analysis and ensuring effective, sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with operations to implement engineering, administrative, and behavioral controls that reduce risk and improve safety outcomes.
- Support and continuously improve H&S programs, bridging industry best practices and operational execution.
- Analyze safety data and trends to identify systemic risks and drive proactive initiatives.
- Deliver training and coaching that builds safety ownership, accountability, and engagement across teams.
- Participate in daily and weekly operational rhythms (Gemba walks, huddles, etc.) to stay connected to the work and reinforce safe practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 5 years of experience in health & safety within industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
- Proven experience leading incident investigations and driving measurable safety improvements—not just managing compliance.
- Experience partnering with operations and business leaders to influence safety outcomes.
- Strong background in hazard identification, risk assessment, and proactive safety program implementation.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Valid Class D driver's license required.
- 7 years in progressive EHS roles or experience supporting enterprise-wide programs.
- Experience in an ergonomically complex environment, or in PT or OT fields.
- Experience with ISO 45001, R2v3, e-Stewards, or EHS management systems.
- Certifications such as CSP or CIH, HAZWOPER 40, or First Aid/CPR.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industrial safety systems (LOTO, confined space, machine guarding, etc.).
- Ability to translate technical safety requirements into practical, field-level application.
- Skilled in incident investigation methodologies (RCA, ICAM, TapRooT).
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and systemic risks.
- Effective facilitator of training, safety conversations, and problem-solving sessions.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to coach leaders on safety ownership and accountability.
