• Office Location: Onalaska, WI – Relocation required if not within daily driving distance of Onalaska, WI
• Compensation Structure: Base Bonus Incentive
• Total Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000

Purpose & Summary: As our Director of Accounting & Corporate Finance, you'll be critical in strengthening our financial infrastructure. This position is ideal for a leader who is equally comfortable operating at a high strategic level and engaging in the day-to-day details. You'll be responsible for driving improvements in our accounting and finance functions, developing a strong and agile team, and setting us up for long-term success.

The first phase of this role will involve diving deep into our current systems and processes—identifying opportunities, implementing improvements, and helping the team establish consistent, scalable practices. Over time, your focus will shift toward elevating the function, enhancing financial strategy, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

We're looking for someone on a strong upward trajectory—a rising finance leader with a solid background in accounting and business finance, a talent for developing people, and a drive to build systems that support growth and excellence.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee Accounting & Corporate Finance Operations - Lead the function hands-on—setting the vision while rolling up your sleeves. You'll manage a team of six and be instrumental in cleaning up existing processes, improving workflows, and developing talent to build a high-performing team.
• Oversee Risk Management - From banks to auditors to tax authorities, you'll manage external relationships and develop the internal systems needed to reduce risk, maintain compliance, and support growth.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - Design and deliver reporting, budgeting, and forecasting tools that empower smart, data-driven decision-making. You'll help the company understand ROI, optimize cash flow, and plan for the future with confidence.

Education & Experience:

• Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 5–7 years of experience managing accounting and finance functions
  • Hands-on experience in both core accounting and corporate/business finance
  • A builder's mindset with a strong operational foundation
• Preferred:
  • Master's degree or equivalent business experience.
  • CPA certification.

Skills & Abilities:

• Deep knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, financial forecasting, and risk management
• Proven ability to coach and develop teams—you don't just lead, you lift
• Strong communication and project management skills—clear, organized, and focused
• Strategic thinker who's not afraid to get into the weeds and clean things up
• Process-oriented, analytical, and driven by continuous improvement
