DIS is currently seeking a phlebotomist who will be responsible for assisting Veterans with veteran care. This will be supporting the VA on-site in Bedford, MA. The HT will keenly understand federal health agencies' policies, regulations, and structure. The ideal candidate will have a desire and ambition to provide the best-in-class service and support to all of our clients and DIS team members. Someone who possesses the ability to be diplomatic, accommodating, and adaptable to changing work environments and project scopes.

Job Responsibilities:

• The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.
• The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Must have three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
• MUST possess an active HTL Certification
• Must possess any of the following certifications:
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PBT)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CBT)

Physical

• Frequently required to sit and work at a desk/computer for extended periods of time of up to 8 hours a day.
• While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
• Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Cognitive

• Ability to learn new tasks.
• Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks independently.
• Ability to remember processes.
• Ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
