Unarmed Security Officer - School Campus | North Charleston, SC

We are seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a school campus in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This position is focused on helping create a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, employees, and visitors. The successful candidate will be highly observant, approachable, and comfortable working in an educational environment.

• Maintain a consistent and professional security presence throughout the campus.
• Observe school grounds, hallways, entrances, exits, and shared areas.
• Assist with controlling and monitoring access to the property.
• Help manage visitors and ensure established entry procedures are followed.
• Identify and respond appropriately to safety or security concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports when necessary.
• Follow campus security policies, emergency procedures, and assigned post orders.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel and other members of the security team.
• Help maintain a calm, respectful, and secure atmosphere for everyone on campus.
Required QualificationsCandidates must meet the following requirements:
• Current SLED Unarmed Security Officer Registration
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to successfully complete a background screening
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct
• Good observation and situationalawareness skills
• Ability to remain on your feet, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Additional Experience That Is a Plus

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
• Previous security experience in a school or educational environment
• Experience working with students, youth, or publicfacing environments
• Background in access control or visitor screening
• Customer service experience
• Current CPR or First Aid certification
• English/Spanish bilingual skills
