Job Summary
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in need of home community care.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with household tasks including laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical exercises.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding client needs and changes in condition.
Skills
- Knowledge of home community care practices.
- Experience or training in dementia care techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare systems.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately.
- Ability to perform catheter care when required.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred.
- Competence in medication administration protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
