Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and associates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas (plumbing, painting, etc.)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and costly repairs
- Inspect equipment and facilities to identify safety or maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
- Follow brand standards, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines
- Assist with vendor coordination and special projects as needed
- Previous hotel or building maintenance experience preferred
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
