General Manager: Extended Stay Hotel

About the Opportunity

Dynamic Group Management is seeking a senior-level General Manager with Marriott hotel experience to lead operations at TownePlace Suites in the Hixson area.

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are looking for an engaged team leader with exceptional operational, organizational, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the hotel industry, a passion for creating outstanding guest experiences, and a proven ability to lead teams while driving operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring efficient and effective performance across all areas.



• Prioritize exceptional guest experiences by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and maintaining high service and brand standards.


• Develop and manage budgets, track revenue, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities to increase profitability.


• Monitor and manage budgetary expenses to ensure cost efficiency and responsible financial performance.


• Recruit, hire, train, and develop front desk staff to successfully execute selling techniques, procedures, and current promotions.


• Lead, coach, and develop hotel staff to promote efficiency, accountability, teamwork, and high levels of customer service.


• Foster and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, and other key stakeholders.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and brand standards.


• Monitor industry trends and implement best practices to support operational excellence.


• Provide the Revenue Management Department with market analysis, including competitor rates by market segment for weekday and weekend periods, as well as forecasts of local market conditions and special events that may impact occupancy and/or rate.


• Support sales efforts as directed by Management and the corporate sales organization.


• Utilize a variety of computer software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



• Maintain full working knowledge of the property's property management system, including FOSSE.

  
  

Working Considerations

• This position requires a physical presence in and around Chattanooga, TN.



• Must possess a valid driver's license.


• Must have reliable transportation.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining a professional image.



• Weekend availability is required.

  
  

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience with a Marriott property is required.



• 5-10 years experience in hotel operations.


• Degree in hospitality management or a related field.


• Knowledge of Salesforce, Delphi, or other CRM platforms.


• Knowledge of financial platforms such as M3, Paycor, and IBuy.


• Proficiency in Google Workspace applications.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, team members, potential and current clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.


• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.



• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Salary expectations: $70,000-$80,000 annually.
