Construction Project Manager (Glazing)

Dynamic Glazing Systems, Inc. is looking for experienced project management professionals with extensive knowledge in commercial architectural aluminum glazing systems. POSITION OVERVIEW

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, structural drawings, shop drawings, installation requirements, and architectural intent
• Conduct take-offs, prepares accurate cost estimates, project schedules and material procurement processing for commercial windows, doors, storefronts, curtain walls, and other glass and aluminum solutions
• Perform formal project management activities, including simultaneous project oversight
• Order, track, and coordinate materials pertaining to each project to successful conclusion
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and President in negotiating most favorable terms for DGS with customers and vendors
• Ensure up to date, complete and accurate records, budgets, schedules, and progress reports
• Participates in quality control inspections and process improvements
• Establishes and nurtures relationships with industry professionals, manufacturers, general contractors, subcontractors, and public agencies in an ultimate effort to promote company revenue growth
• Stay informed of most current product, systems knowledge, and industry practices to improve efficiencies and skills

SKILLS

• Proficient at understanding and translating construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office as well as computer take off and estimating programs
• Aptitude organizational skills including keen attention to detail to maintain our service quality
• Excellent client-facing, internal communication, negotiation, creative problem solving, and relationship skills
• Leadership skills, time management, math, budgeting, and analytical skills
• Excellent writing, grammar, and presentation skills
• Effective ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and manage resources efficiently
• Professional, courteous, and effective disposition for nurturing business development, customer, supplier, team, and other business relationships
• AutoCAD/GDS knowledge preferred

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a definite plus
• Valid Driver’s License

EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years’ Experience Minimum
