The Field Slot Technician position will perform routine maintenance and repairs on electronic gaming machines (EGMs) / systems, related equipment, and related hardware, thus maintaining performance of machines at assigned casinos at, or above, an acceptable level. Install, remove, or convert gaming machines at assigned locations as needed while ensuring compliance with approved procedures. Current and valid driver’s license is required to be maintained for duration of employment. Must be able to pass DOT certifications, and maintain DOT certification status for duration of employment. Upon completion of 30-day probationary period that is deemed successful by management, employee will be eligible for company benefits outlined in company handbook. Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times. Protect DGS assets by following company policies and procedures, federal, state, local, and tribal regulatory compliance and guidelines, and Internal Control Policies. Any violation of company policies, including but not limited to violence, threats of violence, harassment or theft will result in immediate termination.
Essential Functions of the Position
Repairing machines on the casino floor.
Maintain and monitor the operations of electronic gaming devices.
Install, remove, or convert any type of gaming equipment as needed.
Perform tasks for installation and removal of any slot related equipment.
Respond to service calls in a timely manner.
Working a schedule provided by DGS, as business dictates.
Communicate with other slot techs, and other company or client employees politely and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair machine error codes.
Isolate electronic faults at the board level for repair.
Maintain proper compliance at all times.
Ensure safety and cleanliness at all times.
Ensures DGS quality customer service and positive attitude in everything you do.
Driving to and from various job sites throughout the assigned territory. This will occasionally include driving a 26’, or similar, box truck, which will require DOT certification.
May assist in training new technician employees.

Ability to accurately prepare and file reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Required to walk, sit, stand and drive for periods of time.
Ability to push and move electronic gaming machines, including with the use of moving equipment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.
Work Environment
Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
Exposure to smoke and second-hand smoke.
Noise level can be minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
Knowledge of EGM repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of EGM trouble shooting techniques.
Ability to work through various forms of communication in order to meet business needs.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable throughout employment.
Must be able to pass a background check(s), DOT required testing, and drug test.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license.
