Hiring an Embedded Test Technician on-site in Santa Cruz, CA who has a strong electronics background and extensive experience testing and troubleshooting embedded systems. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our products through disciplined testing and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional and environmental testing on embedded systems
- Inspect to locate any non-conformances using both AOI and visual techniques
- Operate and maintain testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other relevant tools
- Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits and systems
- Document test results and maintain accurate records
- Streamline large batch testing across multiple test stations (multi-task)
- Maintain and improve the organization of test assets
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure compliance with procedures in alignment with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics, preferably in a testing or technician role
- Familiarity with troubleshooting electronic circuits
- Proficiency in operating multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- US Citizen or valid Green Card required, no exceptions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- IPC certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 management systems
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, with preference for local college students
Working Hours
- Full-time position: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
