CAD Designer

Job Description:

The CAD Designer role involves creating AutoCAD drafting of land development plans for retail, commercial, industrial, and residential site projects across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from engineering notes, sketches, and other drawings, ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes.
• Draft Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, Concept Plans, and Construction Documents.
• Create Site Plan Renderings for Municipal Presentations.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers, and other Drafters to ensure coordinated design efforts.
• Complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule; review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information.
• Utilize third-party applications like AutoTURN and AGI32 to generate drawings based on specific project requirements.
• Perform earthwork analysis (cut/fill takeoffs).
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter curriculum.
• 0-3 years of experience using latest AutoCAD Software with knowledge of program commands and tools to ensure accuracy.
• Land Development Design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D is a plus.
• Possess good working knowledge within CAD drawings related to various issues.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects, CAD standards, and deadlines.
• Willingsness to assume increased responsibilities.
• Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
