Duties
- Design and implement dynamic music lessons tailored to infants and toddlers that promote sensory development, language skills, and emotional expression.
- Lead interactive singing sessions, rhythmic movement activities, and musical play that encourage participation and joy among young children.
- Support early childhood development by integrating music into daily routines such as circle time, nap transitions, and free play.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with classroom staff and caregivers to reinforce developmental goals through musical activities that accommodate children with diverse needs or disabilities.
- Maintain organized lesson plans and progress notes to track each child's engagement and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's musical interests, progress, and ways to incorporate music at home.
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience in teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involved working closely with young children is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and creating inclusive environments for children with diverse needs enhances your effectiveness in this role.
