Title: Wholesale Sales Representative Reports to: Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Salary exempt Schedule: Business Hours - Central Time Zone 

Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Job Location: On-site (Emporia, KS) required with minimal Sales and/or Disc Golf experience

          Remote negotiable with strong Sales and/or Disc Golf experience

Job Summary

As the Wholesale Sales Representative, your focus will be on expanding our presence within the disc golf market. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with retailers, driving product launches, and representing our brands with professionalism and passion.

Education and Experience

  • Foundational knowledge of Disc Golf
  • Experience in sales or related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred)


Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and openness to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Passion for disc golf and a desire to contribute to the growth of the sport
  • Ability to travel for dealer visits, events, and trade shows
  • Strong technical skills: Google email/applications, Salesforce navigation
  • Understanding of the House of Discs Product Line (preferred by an applicant with limited Sales experience)
  • Proven track record of success in acquiring new accounts and driving revenue growth (Preferred by an applicant with limited Disc Golf knowledge) 
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with experience in outbound sales/cold calling (Preferred by an applicant with limited Disc Golf knowledge) 


Essential Duties

  • Account Management: Analyze current accounts and make follow-ups to ensure business account relationships are positive and look for opportunities to proactively serve their needs and the needs of their customers.   
  • New Account Acquisition: Identify and target new accounts, including disc golf stores, sporting goods retailers, alternative industries, and other potential partners. Develop and implement strategies to onboard new accounts and expand our customer base.
  • Retailer Outreach and Management: Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling and emailing, to generate leads and establish relationships with potential retail partners. Pitch our products and services to retailers, emphasizing the value proposition and benefits of partnering with our company.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments. Conduct market research to identify potential growth opportunities and emerging market segments.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance metrics and KPIs, including new account acquisition, website traffic, and conversion rates. Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Provide feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Brand Representation: Support brand visibility initiatives, including merchandising, POP displays, and promotional programs. Some travel could include representing the company at trade shows, tournaments, dealer events, and promotional activities. 


Physical Requirements

  •  Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  •  Travel < 5% annually, requiring prolonged periods of standing while at trade shows, events, etc.
