Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Office Manager / Salesperson role based in Westport, CT. The role involves managing daily office operations, including data entry and basic accounting/bookkeeping, answering phones, handling email inquiries, organizing files, scheduling appointments, contracting, collections, and maintaining office supplies and equipment. The Office Manager / Salesperson will reach out to clients throughout the sales process, prepare estimates and proposals, and follow up on leads. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and contractors, updating customer records and job status in internal systems, and ensuring paperwork is accurate and up to date. The role also includes supporting basic marketing efforts, such as maintaining contact lists, assisting with social media or email communication, and contributing to a professional and welcoming office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Must have own transportation and willingness to make trips to banks, client locations, and building departments in Fairfield County.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, Administrative Assistance and Office Administration tasks, including scheduling, filing, and record keeping.
- Comfort with using and maintaining basic Office Equipment, such as phones, printers, copiers, and computers.
- Basic sales skills, including following up on leads, preparing proposals, and supporting the close of remodeling projects.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Westport, CT and collaborate in a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Experience in construction, remodeling, or home services is preferred but not required; willingness to learn industry terminology and processes is essential.
- Comfort with common software tools (e.g., email, calendars, spreadsheets, and basic CRM or project management systems).
