We are growing and currently seeking various levels of Construction Inspectors to join our team on site at our Birmingham, Alabama office. This position will support our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CE&I) services for transportation and infrastructure projects. This is a skilled sub-professional engineering position involving both field and office duties. The inspector will follow standard procedures in documenting construction projects and inspecting job activities to verify they are in compliance with project plans and specifications.

- Compensation Note: This position may be filled at Level I, II, or Sr. Inspector, depending on qualifications and years of experience.

- Perform and/or lead field inspections to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards (including ALDOT requirements)
- Support and progressively assume responsibility for coordinating daily inspection activities on active construction projects, based on experience level
- Accurately document construction activities, quantities, and compliance through daily reports and inspection records
- Review inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness, with increased oversight responsibilities at higher levels
- Utilize surveying, measurement, and basic drafting skills to support inspection and documentation efforts, as applicable to level
- Assist in identifying and resolving field issues by coordinating with contractors, project managers, and clients
- Maintain organized and thorough records of inspection reports, testing logs, and work zone compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including internal staff, clients, contractors, and regulatory personnel
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors as experience and role level increase
