Dynamet is a member of Carpenter's Performance Engineered Products division and maintains a second manufacturing facility in western Florida.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Inspect, test, adjust and maintain electrical devices, apparatus and circuits.
  • Troubleshoots job at the machine by observing machine operation and interacting with operations leadership and employees.
  • Experience with basic fabrications.
  • Plans repair procedure by analyzing site conditions, blueprints, sketches, and other available information.
  • Ability to use mobile equipment as needed (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
  • Ability to perform electrical work along with minor mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and crane/rigging needs.
  • Provides direct support in multiple areas of the facility.
  • Support production needs and be proactive in preventive maintenance.
  • Inspecting, testing, calibrating, installing, fabricating, constructing, adjusting, lubricating, maintaining, dismantling and cleaning all mechanical equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment by inspecting defects such as misalignments, wear, improper lubrication, etc.
  • Ability to use maintenance systems for researching and ordering parts.
  • Provide technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.
  • Locate sources of problems by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical devices in operation.
  • Control downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements, daily inspections and monitoring of machines.
  • Safely performs assigned tasks competently and efficiently.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.
  • Must be able to meet safety requirements including ANSI fall protection expectations.
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and process flow diagrams as needed to perform tasks.
  • This position involves shift rotations
  • Performs other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three years industrial electrical maintenance experience in the past ten years.
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.
  • The ability to read blueprints, operate vehicles, work from heights, and work in various environmental conditions is required.
  • A working knowledge of programmable controllers, personal computers, AC and DC drive systems, control and measuring devices (i.e. limit switches, proximity switches, etc.) hydraulic systems and test equipment is preferred.
