QUALITY INSPECTOR I
This position is located in Blum and Whitney, Texas, which is 50 miles south of Fort Worth, Texas.
Job Summary
Performs receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections in support of production and quality objectives. Utilizes visual and dimensional inspection methods, precision measurement equipment, and quality documentation systems to ensure product conformity and maintain material traceability
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections on materials, components, assemblies, and finished products.
- Inspect parts and assemblies using approved drawings and specifications.
- Review and verify material certifications, certificates of conformance, and inspection documentation for compliance to specifications and purchase order requirements.
- Record inspection results accurately and completely within company quality systems, forms, and electronic databases.
- Tag, segregate, and document nonconforming material.
- Maintain housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness of inspection areas and equipment.
- Interact professionally with other departments as required.
- Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Must be able to pass ATF background requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Technical school, trade school, machine shop, manufacturing, or quality experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality personnel.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively.
- ·The employee may frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or lift materials and components.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
