Summary/Objective
Dynacraft BSC, Inc., one of the largest mass-market distributors of bicycles, battery-operated products and electric ride-ons in America has an immediate opening for a Graphic Designer I in our Savannah, Georgia office.
Duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, creating compelling original bicycle designs using computer graphics software and traditional artistic methods, and producing mechanical drawings from both original and existing artwork.
Essential Functions

· Executes product designs – for both original and licensed product and packaging – within art department quality standards.
· Develops and maintains a research library including fonts, paint effects, product samples and colors.
· Studies competitive products to assess current designs and trends in the market.
· Generates continuous flow of designs weekly that meet art department quality standards.
· Continually rotates design styles in order to create original looks and prevent repetition.
· Reviews weekly objectives and accomplishments and tracks them to assure that deadlines are met.
· Updates all design-related data files on the Dynacraft server as completed with adherence to department protocols.
· Participates in design reviews - offers and accepts constructive criticism and feedback.
· Conceptualize, design and create 2D motion graphics for web, mobile, video and more.
· Combine video, 2D animation, text and other graphics into an integrated visual experience.
· Follow retail market trends to use as reference in motion graphics.
· Stay abreast of latest tools and technologies in motion graphics and in digital marketing field.
· Develops "FIX" mechanicals as needed; updates sample products with corrected decals and components.
· Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Photoshop
· Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat
· Knowledge of standard illustration, graphic design, typography principles and production procedures.
· Ability to utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and similar design software to execute design and production responsibilities.
· Ability to understand and interpret creative feedback to produce changes to mechanical drawings and other design-related documents.
· Basic sketching, mathematics, digital photography basics, file handling and word processing skills.
· Knowledge of general design principles - color theory, composition, evaluation and manipulation of digital typography.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems.
· General awareness of intended product end user demographics: shopping habits, color preferences, lifestyle, hobbies, etc.
Minimum Position Requirements
· AA or BA – Design / Illustration / Related Field or equivalent learning/apprentice experience.
· Portfolio of professional work.
· At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; either in a professional or an educational environment.
· Work Schedule/Punctuality: must be able to maintain our regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
· Must maintain a valid driver's license and have proof of insurance
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
· This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Overtime is not common with this position but may be occasionally required.
· Must be able to maintain our regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Work is usually performed in a typical inter/office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift paper, parts, sample products, open cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Proper lifting techniques are required. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
