Belt Line Machine Operator

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Review of production orders and/or specifications to determine setting requirements for roll slitting machines.

· Measure dimensions of abrasive rolls to verify conformance to specifications.

· Conduct test runs of production equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance on slitting machine.

· Keep accurate records of production output.

· Must meet or exceed average daily production rates.

· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

· Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

· Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.

· Other related duties as assigned.

The noise level is moderate.

· Hearing and eye protection provided.

· Safety shoes required and covered by reimbursement program.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

· Must demonstrate mechanical inclination.

· Can proficiently read rulers.

· Must have full operating knowledge of machine set up.

· Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating machinery and handling materials.

· Ability to use thinking or reasoning to solve a problem.

· Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements and cuts.

· Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.

Salary : $17 - $19
