The Role:
Position available open to Mechanical Engineer with creative and analytical mind. Requires strong mechanical problem-solving skills and an aptitude for developing quality engineering solutions. The position requires a dynamic and multifunction individual who is knowledgeable of full-cycle engineering/manufacturing processes. He/she will work together in a team, engineering the products and be the overall liaison between the in-house manufacturing team. This person should have general engineering expertise and be open to collaborate in a team environment.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills
- 3 years of related work experience
- Proficient in SolidWorks
Preferred Qualifications
- Precision engineering and manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) preferably with ANSYS software experience
- Manufacturing experience and knowledge of CAM tools
- Solid understanding of vacuum components, material properties and machine design
- Thermal analysis experience
- Structural analysis experience
- CFD analysis experience (ANSYS Fluent preferred)
- Skilled in documenting activities and maintaining records
- Good understanding of standards and geometric tolerancing
- Ability to manage time, resources and vendors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing
