Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/ Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children 0- 2 years old.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and creativity.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support the needs of children with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage in behavior management strategies to support children's social skills and emotional regulation.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Child Development Associate Credential required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or similar setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education.
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with students with disabilities is a plus.
- First aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
