Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Network Cabling Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems that support data, voice, video, and telecommunication networks. Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test various cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low voltage wiring in commercial and data center environments.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute network installation projects.
- Perform fiber splicing and connectorization to establish reliable high-speed data links.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper cable continuity and performance standards are met.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices. Primarily Ubiquiti Equipment.
- Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure needs and provide detailed reports for project planning.
- Maintain compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols during all installation activities.
- Provide field service support by diagnosing issues quickly and implementing effective solutions for customer networks.
- Assist with camera system setup, camera placement, and troubleshooting to ensure security system integrity.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their networking needs while delivering exceptional customer service throughout every project phase.
Experience
- Driver's License with clean background.
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Network Cabling Technician with a strong background in computer networking and telecommunication systems.
- Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and low voltage wiring in commercial or data center environments.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and network installation procedures.
- Knowledge of Ubiquiti equipment, and LAN/WAN configurations.
- Ability to use testing tools such as Fluke AT-2000 for cable testing and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience working with electrical systems or electrical codes such as NEC is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Experience working with power tools, hand tools, and equipment repair in a field service setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
