Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including digging, trimming, and installing landscape features
- Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, and retaining walls using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, and snow plowing during seasonal changes
- Contribute to tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and assisting with repairs or installations
- Support construction projects by excavating, grading, and preparing sites for landscaping or hardscape installation
Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools
- Prior experience or familiarity with lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, tree care practices, and hardscape installation techniques is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and construction environments
