Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Activity Assistant to join our Life Enrichment Team in Dyersburg, TN This unique opportunity allows you to make a difference with our residents, supporting their emotional well-being and enhancing their daily lives through meaningful engagement.
This is a full time position working 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in long-term care, social services, or activities is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends or evenings for special events

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and carrying out recreational and therapeutic activities for residents under the direction of the Activity Director
- Engage residents in group and one-on-one programs to promote socialization, physical movement, and overall well-being
- Encourage residents to participation in activities based on individual interests, abilities, and care plans
- Help set up, transport, and escort residents to and from activity programs safely
- Provide support during outing, special events, and holiday celebrations
- Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas in a clean and organized manner
- Document resident attendance, participation levels, and responses to activities as directed
- Communicate with nursing staff and other team members regarding resident needs and preferences
