Overview
Dyer Law Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney. DLG operates across a wide variety of legal disciplines, including civil litigation, business law, family law, administrative law, personal injury, estate planning, employment law, appellate law, and criminal defense. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise across multiple practice areas. Attorney will be responsible for managing cases, court appearances (hearings and trial), conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic counsel to clients. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Conduct discovery including written discovery and depositions.
- Manage a caseload across diverse practice areas .
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in litigation.
- Negotiate settlements and legal agreements on behalf of clients with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Collaborate on complex legal issues requiring detailed analysis and innovative solutions.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding case progress, legal options, and potential outcomes.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to Utah State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years legal experience.
- Experience in practice areas ranging from civil litigation, business law, family law, estate planning, employment law, and criminal defense or willingness to learn.
- Research skills utilizing Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Exceptional analytical skills combined with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
