What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Technician position at DXP Enterprises?
This position is based out of Casper, WY. Relocation reimbursement will be considered for quality candidates that are willing to relocate.
Responsibilities of the Pump Service Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Repair, fabricate, install & remove a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, reciprocating pumps & related rotating equipment
- Startup of packaged pump systems including LACT's, SWD's, and others
- Mechanical seal and parts replacement in the field
- New equipment installations and startup
- Rotating equipment alignments
- Shop rebuilds
- Troubleshooting rotating equipment and systems
- Will conform to all customer safety regulations as well as DXP safety protocols and fill out all onsite and in-house paperwork in a timely manner
Qualifications of the Pump Service Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Pump experience preferred, however, will consider quality candidates with strong mechanical background, good work ethic and a desire to learn a unique career
- Laser alignment equipment and vibration analysis experience a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and co-workers
- Must be able to complete job reports and documentation professionally and accurately
- Must possess good math and measurement skills
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Self motivated
- Must provide basic hand tools and air tools
Additional Information:
Physical Demand: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100 lbs. assisted
Working Conditions: Occasional outdoor environment; Temps range from -10 to 100 F
