What Success Looks Like
- A meaningful portion of your existing book transitions into repeatable revenue with MaxVac within the first 90 days.
- You build a healthy, trackable pipeline and deliver a steady monthly run-rate.
- You protect margin and sell work that our service and shop teams can execute cleanly.
- Customers experience responsive, competent support—without unnecessary internal escalation.
Sales execution (primary)
- Own a defined LA-area territory and achieve Year-1 sales goals
- Manage and expand a portfolio of industrial accounts: maintain relationships, identify needs, and drive repeat orders.
- Prospect and win net-new customers using a focused territory plan (target list, outreach cadence, site visits, and referrals).
- Conduct discovery, facility walkdowns, and on-site meetings to understand application needs and propose solutions.
- Develop and present quotes/proposals for pumps, parts, service, rebuilds, and systems.
- Negotiate effectively while maintaining margin expectations and pricing discipline.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.
- Provide first-line commercial/technical triage for customers (within reason): clarify symptoms, gather the right info, and set expectations.
- Quote pumps, parts, systems, and services, confirm lead times, and coordinate next steps with internal teams.
- Initiate service requests with complete information (model/serial, application, urgency, site requirements, photos/notes when applicable) to minimize operational rework.
- Know when to escalate to technical/service leadership and do so with a complete handoff.
- Internal coordination and accountability
- Collaborate with service, rebuild, and operations teams to ensure smooth order and service execution.
- Capture key customer/market feedback (competitors, pricing pressure, application trends) and share it with leadership.
- Keep CRM updated with activities, quotes, opportunities, and next steps.
- Participate in sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and periodic training.
- Demonstrated success in outside B2B industrial sales with a relevant, portable book of business.
- Prior experience selling into industrial environments (maintenance, facilities, process engineering, procurement).
- Vacuum or vacuum-adjacent experience (pumps, blowers/boosters, systems, service, parts, or adjacent technical industrial equipment).
- Existing relationships in LA/OC/IE manufacturing segments (food, packaging, aerospace, medical, semiconductor support, research, industrial processing).
- Ability to independently manage a defined set of customer support tasks (quoting, coordination, basic triage).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-through; comfortable on job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout territory.
- Experience selling vacuum pumps, service/rebuild programs, or vacuum systems.
- Familiarity with CRM workflows, quoting processes, and basic forecasting discipline.
- Pipeline health: consistent opportunity creation and sufficient coverage to support targets.
- Gross margin performance: meets minimum margin expectations on booked business.
- Responsiveness and execution quality: accurate scoping, clean handoffs, low internal rework.
- Customer outcomes: retention/growth within book of business and net-new logo acquisition.
- Comfortable operating independently in the field with structured weekly planning.
- Strong organization: notes, follow-ups, and opportunity tracking.
- Proficiency with CRM and standard business software (email, spreadsheets, quoting tools).
