Summary
The Grinder will wear safety glasses with a face shield and use proper lifting techniques with tools as needed. Ensure safety guards and electrical connections are correct. Clear hazards, hold metal securely, and grind with proper hand positioning. Turn on the grinder before use and off when finished, then inspect for smooth edges. Use additional PPE as required.
Responsibilities of the Grinder include, but are not limited to:
Physical Demand : Must be able to pass physical and lift up to 50lbs
Working Conditions : Shop Environment
Training/Certifications : N/A
Shift Time/Overtime : Must be able to work OT as necessary
Travel: N/A
Education : HS Diploma or GED
Location: USA:TX:Houston

Responsibilities of the Grinder include, but are not limited to:
- Wear safety glasses with face shield
- Proper lifting techniques shall be followed
- Use additional tools to assist lifting when needed (i.e. dolly, forklift, hoist)
- Make sure guards are in place, plug and outlet is correct and in working order
- Clear work area of any hazards and/or other personnel
- Hold metal with both hands
- Proper hand positioning while grinding material
- Turn grinder on prior to contact with the metal
- Grind on the piece of metal to even the weld, or to clean the surface of iron, or even to cut a piece of metal for a guard
- Turn grinder off when complete
- Look over the material to make sure edges are smooth
- Any other PPE as needed
- Ability to stay alert and pay attention to the task
- Must be self-motivated and a team player
- Able to work in a team environment
- Background check, drug screen, physical required
