Basic Description: The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the completion of tasks involved in project start- up, construction document flow, meeting minutes, printing documents, reviewing plans & specifications, assisting will billing, tracking production, creating work plans, identifying hazards, working with & supporting field personnel to ensure projects completion.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Project Manager in all aspects of operational project management
- Submittal review and tracking
- Resource allocation, task planning and progress reporting
- Reviewing plans & specifications, assisting with billing, tracking production, creating work plans, identifying hazards, working with & supporting field personnel to ensure projects completion
- Preforms all other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Three years’ experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry
- Must have a good knowledge about construction divisions, specifications and drawings
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and resolve issues/problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HCSS, Microsoft Project
- Bluebeam Construction related education is a plus
- Thorough understanding of the money-making process within the road construction industry
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
- Must have the ability to pass background checks for Government Facility Access
