Employment Type: Full-Time

About Graywood Wellness
Graywood Wellness is a newly launched behavioral health program designed specifically for adult men, offering Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services with a virtual-first model transitioning into housing and in-person care.
Graywood is built on the belief that treatment is most effective when it is intentional, structured, and tailored to how people actually engage in recovery.
Our focus is simple but powerful:
Help men reconnect to purpose, accountability, and direction—and build a program that delivers measurable, lasting outcomes.
The Role
We are seeking a Clinical Director who is both a strong clinician and an operator—someone who can help build, lead, and scale a high-performing PHP/IOP program from the ground up.
This is not a “maintenance role.”
This is a build role.
The right candidate will be comfortable:
- Standing up clinical programming from scratch
- Developing systems, structure, and culture
- Carrying a clinical caseload while overseeing the program
- Working closely with leadership on growth, quality, and performance
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Design and implement PHP/IOP clinical programming (group individual)
- Ensure delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed care
- Oversee treatment planning, documentation, and clinical quality
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and payer requirements
Program Development
- Build and refine a curriculum tailored to men’s behavioral health
- Establish group structure, schedules, and therapeutic tracks
- Develop clinical policies, protocols, and workflows
- Partner in standing up virtual programming and transitioning to in-person services
Operations & Oversight
- Supervise clinical staff (therapists, interns, etc.)
- Ensure high-quality documentation for utilization review and billing
- Monitor key clinical KPIs:
- Length of stay
- Engagement
- Discharge outcomes
- Collaborate with admissions and leadership on census growth
Direct Clinical Work
- Maintain an active caseload (individual group therapy)
- Facilitate groups regularly
- Provide clinical leadership by example
Qualifications
Required
- Active California license (LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years in behavioral health treatment
- Experience working in PHP and/or IOP settings
- Strong understanding of utilization review, documentation, and payer expectations
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage clinical operations
Highly Preferred
- Experience in standing up or launching a new program
- Background working with adult men and/or gender-specific programming
- Experience in both mental health and co-occurring disorders
- Comfort operating in a startup/growth environment
- Ability to balance clinical excellence with operational discipline
Who You Are
- You are both clinical and pragmatic
- You understand that great care and strong operations must coexist
- You can build structure without losing humanity
- You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
- You lead with accountability, clarity, and presence
Why This Role Matters
This is an opportunity to help build something from the ground up—a program designed to meet men where they actually are, not where the system assumes they should be.
You will play a central role in shaping:
- The clinical model
- The team culture
- The client experience
- The long-term success of the organization
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation performance incentives
- Opportunity to grow with the organization (lead expansion phases)
- Meaningful input into program design and direction
- A leadership team that values both clinical integrity and operational excellence
