Dwight-Englewood School is seeking an Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator to join the Admissions Department.
Dwight-Englewood is seeking a dynamic individual and the candidate should have the ability to work well with a variety of families, technology/database management skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal strengths, strong organizational skills and a good sense of humor. The Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator will help the Lower School Admissions Director manage the admission process for all Lower School candidates, have the ability to build relationships, and enjoy interaction with a wide range of people, as well as the ability to collaborate. The Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator reports to the Dean of Admissions. This is a full-time, twelve-month position. College degree required.
Essential responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Financial Aid Role:
Oversees Clarity - the financial aid software operating system
Makes and Updates changes in Clarity
Manages all financial documents which are submitted by families
Checks to make sure that all financial documents have been submitted correctly and accurately
Works closely with the CFO and the Dean of Admissions to facilitate and help make financial aid decisions and awards to the families.
Follows up with any missing information which is needed to complete financial aid package
Inputs all financial awards and keeps track of all financial aid for current and new families.
Helps with all the extra parts of the financial aid packages like transportation, computer costs and lunch costs. Assists with allocating the money for these expenses beyond the tuition.
Lower School Role:
Manages all work and scheduling done on Ravenna- the admissions software operating system
Plans and organizes student screenings for all preschool 3- 5th grade students
Helps the Director of Lower School Admissions plan and organize all events by completing paperwork and coordinating with the operations department at Dwight-Englewood.
Runs queries and reports relating to admissions for all divisions
Helps to organize all the required paperwork and information on the students to prepare for committee meetings in January.
Aids the Director of Lower School admissions coordinate acceptance packages and prints all the letters needed to send out for decisions.
Assists in organizing revisit days for parents and students in the Spring
Overall Responsibility:
Be familiar or familiarize oneself with the admissions operating software- Ravenna, enrollment management and Clarity
Familiarity with social media platforms and management
Complete all DASL/ Index numbers and reports
Process and keep records of all expenses
Answer emails/ phone calls for the Dean of Admissions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Availability outside of normal school hours for Admissions events.
