HUD MAP Underwriting Analyst
Dwight Capital is a leader in commercial real estate finance and is one of the largest FHA/HUD lenders for multifamily and healthcare properties in the United States. Our range of services includes commercial lending across a variety of platforms such as FHA/HUD, Bridge, and Mezzanine Financing as well as Preferred Equity for both stabilized and new-construction properties.

Dwight is looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and flourishes in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to manage time wisely, follow up, and communicate the status of projects. Our ideal candidate will take direction from the MAP Approved Underwriters well, offer creative and prompt solutions to issues, and provide meticulous attention to detail.
Role & Responsibilities
• Underwrite multifamily deals in compliance with FHA guidelines
• Represent Dwight Capital in a professional manner when communicating with FHA personnel, clients, third-party consultants, and industry partners
• Work with the closing & servicing teams
• Assemble and present all loan packages to the credit committee for approval
• Work with third-party consultants to understand all pertinent market information
Required Experience & Skill Sets
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other related field
• 0-3 years of experience preferably in loan sizing or other real estate finance position
• Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, FHA personnel, and internal staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks with strong time management skills
• Ability to understand and apply guidelines and regulations
• Highly developed critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems with limited resources or oversight
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey quantitative findings in qualitative terms
• Ability to multitask while maintaining organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Costar is a plus
