Job type: W2 Contract Part-Time

Location: In-Person Lowell, MA

Schedule: 10hr from Tuesday to Friday


Job Overview:

The Grant Specialist will be responsible for performing grant management work related to researching, writing, obtaining grants, and ensuring compliance with applicable grant provisions, regulations, and statues. 


Key Responsibilities:

This position identifies, secure and manage funding opportunities to advance the mission and programs of DHoH, including.

  • Researching and pursuing grants opportunities from government agencies and private foundations
  • Identifying funding opportunities that align to DHoH’s mission and strategic priorities
  • Maintaining a strategic grant calendar to manage application, extension, and reporting timelines
  • Developing and writing persuasive proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation
  • Managing all stages of the grant lifecycle, from application through compliance reporting
  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable grants’ regulations, provisions, and deadlines.
  • Collaborating with DHoH leadership and staff to align funding strategies with agency goals
  • Tracking and maintaining records of all grant submissions, awards, deliverables, and reporting requirements
  • ·      Monitoring grant budget and reconciling expenditures, addressing discrepancies promptly

The successful candidate will have strong research, writing, and editing skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines; and a proven record of securing grant funding. They will be highly detail-oriented, adept at budget development, and capable of working independently and collaboratively to achieve results.


Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills and Research skills
  • Proven Proposal Writing skills and experience in preparing grant applications
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in Budgeting and managing grant funds
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are an asset (Khmer, Spanish, Creole, Portuguese)
