What You’ll Do
- Dream big—develop master plans for large mixed-use sites, repositioned malls, BTR communities, infill urban sites, and more.
- Dive into site analysis, feasibility and fit studies across a variety of scales.
- Collaborate with Dwell’s design leadership to shape compelling, visionary planning options.
- Present big ideas to clients and communities with confidence and clarity
- Create beautiful, thoughtful presentation packages—plans, imagery, models, and mood boards
- Navigate zoning, entitlements, and planning regulations with savvy and insight.
- Keep in sync with the design leadership to hit project milestones and deadlines like a pro.
- Stay ahead of trends in sustainable planning and design.
- Vision and creativity to shape great places.
- Strong sketching, drawing, and conceptual storytelling skills
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture, Planning/Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture
- 5 years’ experience in master planning and urban planning or landscape design
- A deep understanding of placemaking, walkability, and how vibrant communities work.
- A good feel for how retail works—and what makes it thrive.
- Passion for context-driven, sustainable, resilient design
- Knowledge of zoning, land use planning, codes, and design principles that bring it all together.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp (Revit and Bluebeam are a plus!)
- A positive attitude, curiosity, and a sense of humor—Dwellians bring the energy.
