We are seeking an experienced Preschool Director who is passionate about developing strong school cultures, leading dynamic teams, and ensuring operational excellence. Operational Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of daily center operations in alignment with DCF regulations, accreditation, and CACFP standards.
- Manage budgets, tuition collection, enrollment goals, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance in staff ratios, safety procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain an exceptional team of teachers and support staff.
- Lead through CLASS-based coaching, mentoring, and observation cycles.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement professional development plans, evaluations, and recognition programs to support staff growth.
- Implement approved developmentally appropriate curriculum (e.g., Frog Street, Creative Curriculum).
- Manage Florida VPK compliance, including staff credentials, instructional hours, and assessments (PM1–PM3).
- Partner with behavioral support professionals (BCBAs/RBTs) to ensure inclusive, individualized support for all children.
- Oversee CACFP compliance including meal planning, menus, and USDA portion standards.
- Ensure accurate meal counts, monthly claims, and staff training on food service guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with ELC requirements, contracts, and billing for VPK and School Readiness programs.
- Communicate proactively with ELC regarding funding, attendance, and eligibility.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families through transparent communication, conferences, and newsletters.
- Lead family engagement events such as literacy nights, open houses, and community outreach programs.
- Represent the center positively in the community to drive enrollment and brand reputation.
- Florida Director’s Credential required (Advanced preferred).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).
- Two to five years of preschool leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of DCF licensing, CACFP, VPK, ELC compliance, and CLASS quality improvement.
- Proven record of team development, program compliance, and center growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
