We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our warehouse operations team. In this
role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and preparation of materials and products throughout
the facility. The ideal candidate holds a valid forklift certification and has hands-on experience operating
powered industrial trucks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Internal Material Handling:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks) to move, stack, load, and unload materials, components, and finished goods within the manufacturing plant and warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Ensure accurate placement and organization of products in storage locations.
- Perform routine inventory counts and update records as necessary.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods at delivery points, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with logistics support, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA requirements at all times.
- Ensure loads are secured properly before transportation.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, including vehicles and material handling equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Complete and maintain accurate logs and records of material movements and deliveries.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) desirable
- 3 years of experience operating box trucks, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse
Required Skill/Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks requiring bending, stooping,
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems is a plus.
- Standard work week is Monday through Friday, typically 40 hours per week, overtime may be
- Physical exertion may vary depending on position type. May be required to regularly stoop, kneel,
- Assembling may involve manipulating small parts and using hand tools. Good hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Must be able to travel between facilities.
- Manufacturing facilities can be loud and have bright lights. Subjective to seasonal weather conditions
