As a Perioperative RN, you’ll play a vital role across all areas of our Ambulatory Surgery Center, including Preoperative, Operating Room, Postoperative, and the Laser Procedure Room. Responsibilities

Admit, assess, and prepare ambulatory patients for surgery in accordance with center policies

Perform pain assessments, interventions, management, and patient/family education

Provide care specific to ophthalmic surgical patients

Monitor basic cardiac rhythms and recognize rhythm changes

Assist with or initiate emergency measures for adverse patient events (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, shock)

Support physicians and ancillary staff in delivering efficient, quality surgical care
- Maintain flexibility, organization, and composure under pressure while supporting overall patient flow
Hours: Monday–Thursday, typically 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call. ASC staff rotate through our Northland surgery center every Wednesday.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Missouri and Kansas
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in perioperative or surgical care
