Role Description Full-time, on-site role based in Rockford, MI, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects. This position coordinates subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications. The Superintendent conducts regular site inspections, leads daily meetings, and documents progress, issues, and resolutions. The role includes enforcing safety standards, managing quality control, supporting project scheduling, and collaborating closely with project managers and clients. The Superintendent also helps anticipate and resolve field challenges, maintains organized site logistics, and upholds DV Construction’s standards of professionalism and craftsmanship.

Qualifications
- Strong construction field management skills, including supervision of subcontractors, coordination of trades, and oversight of day-to-day site activities.
- Experience with reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents, including ability to identify conflicts and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of commercial construction processes, schedules, and sequencing; experience with ground-up and renovation projects is preferred.
- Commitment to safety, including familiarity with OSHA guidelines, site safety planning, and enforcement of safety protocols.
- Proficiency with basic construction technology such as project management software, digital plans, email, and scheduling tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project managers, clients, field staff, and trade partners.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and maintain organization in a fast-paced site environment.
- Previous experience as a Superintendent or field leader on commercial construction projects; experience in medical or pre-engineered construction is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
