Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders across both pediatric and adult populations.
- Tailored Plan of Care: Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each individual’s unique goals, medical history, and developmental or rehabilitative needs.
- Direct Intervention: Provide engaging, high-quality therapy sessions that promote functional communication, early intervention strategies for children, and neurogenic rehabilitation for adults.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, physicians, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and maximize functional therapy outcomes.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous, timely documentation of patient progress, initial evaluations, daily session notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with clinical, state, and insurance standards.
- Education & Advocacy: Educate and counsel families and caregivers on functional strategies to support communication development at home, in educational environments, or throughout adult stroke and cognitive recovery.
- Professional Growth: Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices, clinical anatomy/physiology, and medical terminology to consistently enhance the quality of patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Washington, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Clinical Experience: Proven experience or strong clinical competency working with both pediatric and adult populations across outpatient, school, or medical settings.
- Specialized Knowledge: Solid foundation in anatomy and physiology related to speech production, cognitive-linguistic processing, and pediatric/adult swallowing functions (dysphagia).
- Assessment Skills: Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized diagnostic tools for a wide range of age groups and etiologies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for building rapport with patients, counseling caregivers, and collaborating with medical and educational professionals.
