Position Overview
A leading international law firm in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Conflicts Analyst to join its Office of General Counsel team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm's risk management and compliance functions by conducting conflicts research, analyzing potential ethical issues, and assisting attorneys and compliance professionals with the new business intake process.

Key Responsibilities
- Review new client and matter intake requests to ensure submitted information is thorough, accurate, and complete.
- Perform comprehensive conflicts searches using the firm's conflicts database and other internal and external resources.
- Analyze search results and prepare detailed reports to support conflict review and resolution.
- Research client entities, corporate structures, affiliations, and key stakeholders through public and subscription-based resources.
- Enter, maintain, and update conflicts-related data within intake and compliance systems.
- Assist with the onboarding of lateral attorneys and the analysis of large, multi-party matters.
- Identify potential conflicts concerns and escalate findings to Compliance Counsel and senior legal compliance professionals.
- Ensure all conflict reports meet established quality, accuracy, and procedural standards.
- Collaborate with fellow analysts and business intake team members to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive requests.
- Support process improvement initiatives, technology enhancements, and departmental projects.
- Provide guidance and training support to junior team members when needed.
- Maintain exceptional service levels while balancing multiple priorities.

- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
- Flexibility to work staggered schedules and participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours support.
Preferred Experience & Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in conflicts, compliance, risk management, legal intake, or a related professional services environment.
- Experience with Intapp Intake, World-Check, Dun & Bradstreet, or similar research and intake platforms is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Experience researching corporate entities, ownership structures, and business relationships.
- Proven success working within established deadlines and service-level expectations.

Schedule:
Hybrid: Initial training- first month in office every day, once a quarter or when needed thereafter.
Schedule: This position requires flexibility to work assigned staggered shifts (7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) and participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional after-hours support as needed.
Salary : $60,000 - $78,000
