WE’RE HIRING – SIGN INSTALLER / SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Duval Sign Company is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our team as a Sign Installer / Service Technician.
This is a hands-on position primarily focused on installing, servicing, and repairing commercial signs, along with helping with fabrication and general shop work when needed.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Installing exterior and interior commercial signs
- Servicing and troubleshooting existing signs
- LED and basic electrical sign repair
- Installing sign faces, panels, channel letters, cabinets, and dimensional lettering
- Working from ladders, lifts, and other equipment
- Using hand and power tools
- Reading measurements and basic installation drawings
- Loading and preparing materials for installations
- Assisting with sign fabrication and assembly in the shop
- Vinyl and graphics installation when needed
- General shop organization and maintenance
- Helping wherever needed to keep projects moving
Sign industry experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
Experience in construction, electrical, carpentry, fabrication, automotive/mechanical work, equipment operation, or another hands-on trade would also translate well to this position.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Mechanically inclined and a good problem solver
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Comfortable using ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools
- Reliable and able to show up on time
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
- Willing to learn and take on different types of projects
- Able to safely lift and handle sign materials
A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
This is a good opportunity for someone who doesn't want to do the exact same thing every day. One day might involve installing a new sign, another troubleshooting an existing sign, and another helping fabricate a project in the shop.
Pay: $25 - $42 hour depending on experience and skill level.
