Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Transmission Technician role based in Jacksonville, FL. The Transmission Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle transmission systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics with specialized equipment, conducting repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency, and maintaining detailed service records. Technicians will collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure high-quality service is provided to customers.
Qualifications
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing automotive transmission systems, including automatic and manual transmissions.
- Technical knowledge of diagnostic equipment, tools, and methods used in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex transmission issues.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail, ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- ASE certification is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive repair is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
